Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a competent registered nurse who practices independently and provides routine and complex care in a clinical setting, with the ability to plan long-range goals and delegate to other care providers to manage the clinical situation. The role follows the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation).

Requirements include a BSN preferred, 1 year of related experience preferred, BLS, and an RN license (state or compact).

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• BLS required
• RN license in state of employment or compact

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
• Educates patients, family members and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
