Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of practice is required
• CPR or BLS certification required
• Basic Life Support certification required
• AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required
• STABLE certification required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Coordinates care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional judgment, and independence
• Develops care plans, implements interventions, evaluates progress, and communicates outcomes
• Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care and learning opportunities for patients and families
