Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a competent registered nurse for night shift in Tyler, TX. The nurse will provide routine and complex care, practice independently, and coordinate with the care team to address patient needs and contingencies.

The role requires a BSN (preferred), 1 year of related nursing experience, and active RN license (Texas or compact). BLS certification is required, with full-time, on-site responsibilities from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• RN license in state of employment or compact (Texas).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of CHRISTUS competencies.
• Provides nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Addresses psychosocial, cultural, and family needs.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors effects.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
• Provides education to patients, families or caregivers on learning needs and resources.
