Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). The RN CAP 1 will coordinate and deliver clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, with supervision and collaboration from the care team, including RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and readiness to participate in CAP requirements to advance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
• Must meet the practice requirements in all states in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Documents patient data and adjusts treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Educates patients and families about learning needs and care plans.
• Directs and provides safe, effective patient care for prescribed dialysis modalities.
• Coordinates communication with dialysis providers and facility staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Performs administration and monitoring of treatments with proper documentation and reporting of adverse reactions.
• Participates in staff training, orientation, and on-call rotations.
