The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia's UVA Health is seeking an experienced RN to join Acute General Medicine in Charlottesville. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult medicine patients, perform ongoing assessments, and collaborate across disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
• 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to adult medicine patients.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and identify changes in clinical condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, therapists, case managers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Manage patients with complex diagnoses and comorbidities.
• Coordinate care plans and support safe patient transitions.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Participate in governance, practice councils, quality initiatives, and nursing committees.
• Utilize Epic EMR, Pyxis systems, and Alaris infusion pumps.
• Serve as preceptor, mentor, charge nurse, or pursue leadership opportunities.
