Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking an Acute Registered Nurse to provide dialysis care within a hospital environment. You will supervise Patient Care Technicians and LVNs, administer medications, and ensure treatment plans align with physician orders and hospital policy.

The role requires current RN licensure, dialysis experience preferred, CPR certification, and strong communication skills. You will participate in readiness activities and maintain equipment safety and water treatment procedures.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in applicable state or compact.
• 12 months or more nursing experience preferred.
• Previous dialysis nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification required with hospital approved program
• Ability to pass color screening.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of English language, verbal and written communication.
• Basic computer skills; proficient in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire.
• Must meet state-specific practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute dialysis care and treatment in a hospital setting.
• Supervise and assist Patient Care Technicians and Licensed Vocational Nurses.
• Report to Acute Manager or related leadership; follow hospital and policy directions.
• Administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Deliver patient education and follow-up as needed.
• Document and communicate patient status and care requirements clearly.
• Maintain and ensure water quality verification and equipment safety checks before each treatment.
• Prepare and maintain dialysis machines and systems; troubleshoot issues with technicians.
