Qualifications

• RN graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License and BLS AHA Basic Life Support HCP Certification.
• BSN preferred.
• Transfer center experience preferred.
• Critical care and emergency medical services experience preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent communication skills preferred.
• Flexible and adaptable to change preferred.
• Ability to multitask preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates communication between sending and receiving facilities using telephone, computer software, and other tools.
• Documents a record of the encounter.
• Utilizes clinical expertise, critical thinking, and knowledge of unit-specific admission and discharge criteria.
