Inova Health is seeking a full-time General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join the General Surgery Service Team in Virginia. The selected candidate will provide initial assessment, stabilization, and ongoing care for admitted patients in the acute inpatient setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the general surgery attending, clinical productivity, and participation in morning reports and policy development.

Qualifications

• Completion of a master's degree program as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or completion of a Physician Assistant program
• Surgical or inpatient experience preferred
• License or license eligible in the state of Virginia
• DEA
• BLS
• ACLS

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergent/urgent care needs for hospitalized patients within scope of practice
• Provide first response coverage while on duty
• Admit patients to the service
• Order and expedite diagnostic studies and consultations
• Document patient encounters and communicate with caregivers
