BayCare Health System's Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL is seeking a compassionate PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to join our acute care rehabilitation team. You will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to adults with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders resulting from stroke and other medical complexities.

Qualifications

CCC-SLP certification required.
BLS certification required.
Speech-language pathology license required.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
1 year clinical-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments in an acute care setting.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning.
