Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, plan, and treat patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders. The role emphasizes adherence to ASHA standards and organizational policies across sites in Fosston and Ada, MN.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, document and bill for a full caseload, supervise staff, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize clinical and financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from accredited speech and language pathology program.
• Current state license to practice speech-language pathology.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy evaluation, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, provide patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload.
• Provide all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative duties.
• Demonstrate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal clinical and financial outcomes.
• Coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Comply with organizational policies and code of conduct.
• Meet professional ethics and scope of practice.
• Work across multiple settings including outpatient, inpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facilities.
