Job summary

Platte Valley Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice and swallowing. The role includes consulting with families, collaborating with care teams and supporting patient-centered care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Communication Disorders/Speech Language Pathology or equivalent.
• Current licensure in state of practice.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC).

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, diagnoses and treats disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice and swallowing.
• Consults, educates and trains patients, families and caregivers.
• Collaborates with care teams and stakeholders to deliver patient-centered care.
• Mentors and supervises students and new hires.
• Participates in interprofessional meetings and professional groups.
• Engages in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
