Job summary

The Speech Language Pathologist in the acute care setting at WakeMed Health & Hospitals provides diagnostic and treatment services for speech/language and dysphagia, with age-appropriate direct patient care.

Responsibilities include observing treatment effects, maintaining records, and collaborating with patients, families, the care team and management. The role may require coverage in other areas of the Rehab Continuum as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP required.
• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.

• Administer speech/language and dysphagia diagnostic and treatment services.
• Maintain appropriate records and observe/treat outcomes.
• Provide age-appropriate direct patient care in acute care.
• May cover other areas of the WakeMed Rehab Continuum as needed.
