Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s MidState Medical Center in Meriden, CT is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat communication, cognition and swallowing disorders, promoting patient safety and independence. The SLP will develop treatment plans, deliver direct and indirect services, and collaborate with the Department Manager/Director while participating in continuing education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college/university.
• State of Connecticut License in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence or Approved Clinical Fellowship plan from ASHA-may be required depending on site.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, determines treatment strategies and provides direct or indirect services to identify, restore and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing to maximize safety and independence.
• Reports to Department Manager/Director.
