Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead nursing care for patients with medical or surgical needs. You will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate care, ensuring safety and policy compliance while coordinating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, interacting with other departments, and delivering service-excellence nursing care. Weekend/holiday on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• One year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care setting.
• Must demonstrate commitment to the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through required training and reporting.”
• Texas RN license or compact state license; BSN preferred.
• Associate degree, baccalaureate degree or diploma in nursing; new graduates may provide documentation from RN program.
• Must have and maintain BLS.
• Must have and maintain current ARC/AHA certifications as applicable and keep current.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures; provide professional nursing leadership.
• Assess, plan, guide and evaluate nursing care in accordance with facility policies and philosophy.
• Oversee and guide nursing staff under supervision; interact with hospital staff and ancillary departments.
• Provide safe, competent nursing care and demonstrate service excellence at all times.
• Occasionally work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and/or on-call status.
