Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a registered nurse to join the Facility Resource Pool at Tuomey Hospital. The RN provides clinical direction for patient care in an acute inpatient setting, floats across units as needed, and adheres to safety and policy standards.

You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and update plans of care with the care team, and ensure timely discharge planning while maintaining high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• Education: Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical direction for patient care in an acute inpatient setting.
• Performs nursing assessments using age-specific standards and documents findings.
• Develops and updates patient care plans with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Sets realistic, measurable discharge goals and ensures continuity of care.
• Delivers direct care per established nursing plans and delegated responsibilities.
• Maintains patient safety, participates in quality improvement and performance improvement activities.
