Job summary

Wood County Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Acute Care on the Day shift in Bowling Green, OH. This onsite role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient education, and collaboration with the care team to achieve the best outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, documenting meticulously, and educating patients and families from admission to discharge. Ohio RN license required; BLS/ACLS within 90 days; PALS also required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing or ADN from an accredited school.
• Registered Nurse license in Ohio by time of hire.
• BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• PALS within 90 days of hire (ED, PACU, Infusion).
• NRP within 90 days of hire (OB).
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care provided to patients.
• Maintain accurate, timely, detailed reports and records.
• Individualize care based on patient values, preferences, and needs.
• Collaborate and advocate with other health care providers to provide best outcomes.
• Educate patient and family from admission to discharge, considering learning style.
• Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
• Work hours per week as per offer letter or transfer attributes; longer hours as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
