Job summary

Wood County Hospital is seeking an RN for Acute Care on days, full-time. Provide nursing care under the Ohio State Board of Nursing scope, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for patients, with emphasis on safety and patient education.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, collaborating with the care team, and educating patients and families from admission to discharge. BLS/ACLS within 90 days, PALS/NRP per unit needs; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma Nurse or ADN from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in the State of Ohio by time of hire.
• BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• PALS within 90 days of hire (ED, PACU, Infusion).
• NRP within 90 days of hire (OB).
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing (preferred).
• Two years of clinical experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Maintain accurate, timely, detailed reports and records.
• Individualize care based on patient values, preferences, and needs.
• Collaborate with other health care providers to achieve best outcomes.
• Educate patient and family from admission to discharge.
• Support a culture of safety through preparation and response.
• Work hours per week per offer letter or transfer request; longer hours may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
