Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• RRT or RRT Equivalent required.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state; BLS required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in oxygen delivery modes and equipment and conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures.
• Administers therapeutic procedures, understanding purpose and benefits, and potential effects.
• Performs diagnostic procedures as outlined in policy.
• Monitors and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes recommendations on plans of care and patient education.
• Documents therapy and results; communicates with the health care team.
