Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Longview, TX seeks an Acute Care Physical Medicine Tech to support licensed therapists in inpatient/outpatient settings. You will assist with therapy, transfers, ADL training, and patient education, while maintaining safety and patient privacy.

Responsibilities include prepping equipment, documenting vital signs per therapist, and assisting with admissions, discharges, and daily charts. PRN, per diem role with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Basic Computer Knowledge
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Maintains consistency with Administrative and Departmental policies and professional behavior.
• Interacts with patients to promote independence in line with CHRISTUS St. Michael philosophy.
• Transfers patients using bed, wheelchair, or chair as directed by therapist.
• Assists therapist with exercises, gait training, and activities under supervision.
• Accurately reports vitals (including pulse, O2 sats, HR, BP) to therapist.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment per therapist instructions.
• Assist with admissions, discharge and transfers for outpatients.
• Support patient/family education and safety within the department.
