Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ is actively seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. You will implement the nursing process, educate patients and families, and coordinate with physicians on evolving conditions.

Qualified candidates hold a current NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS, and prefer BSN. Prior acute care experience and ventilator management are valued; this is a full-time, dayshift role with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including monitoring, diagnostic results and symptoms, and respond quickly to changes in condition.
