Job summary

Texas Health Frisco is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for Acute Care (Inpatient) to provide age-appropriate therapy in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role requires a PT license in Texas, BCLS certification, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

New grads are welcome, with self-scheduling options and opportunities for growth. Expect weekday shifts with some weekends; orientation during the first week is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Texas Physical Therapy Licensure is required upon hire.
• BCLS certification is required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Performs age-appropriate patient treatment.
• Uses therapeutic techniques appropriate to patient age.
• Performs and delegates procedures within license scope.
• Utilizes varied treatment techniques to achieve goals and reassess progress.
• Educates patient and family on treatment plan, safety, home programs, and equipment.
• Maintains patient safety throughout treatment.
• Communicates with physicians and healthcare staff regarding care issues.
• Demonstrates competence in age-appropriate treatment and adapts care by age needs.
• Motivates patients to participate in therapy.
