Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Physical Therapist (P.T.) for acute care coverage in Fort Worth. The PRN role supports patient assessments, therapy planning, and education for patients and families within a Magnet-designated hospital.

The position requires a PT degree, Texas license upon hire, and BCLS certification. New grads are welcome, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Texas PT license upon hire required.
• BCLS certification prior to independent patient care; maintained quarterly.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Acute care experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Perform age-appropriate patient assessments and establish plans of care.
• Perform treatment procedures within PT scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families with instructions, demos, and handouts.
• Initiate discharge planning with care team and patient.
• Attend and/or lead hospital, department, and community meetings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
