Qualifications

• Completion of a Physician Assistant program.
• California Physician Assistant License - CA Physician Assistant Board
• ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Assess all patients in acute care settings for service line population.
• Develops patient data base through health history, physical exam, and labs.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests; formulates and evaluates a plan of care.
• Counsels and supports patients and families; promotes outcomes improvement.
• Creates and maintains documentation for all patient contacts.
• Assists in developing learning experiences for staff and patients.
• Promotes interdisciplinary planning and coordination of patient care.
• Maintains professional membership and stays current with clinical practices.
