Job summary

Sharp HealthCare seeks an experienced Physician Assistant to deliver patient care in a hospital setting within our network. The role requires completing a PA program and holding a California PA license, ACLS, and BLS certifications.

You will assess patients, order tests, participate in care planning, and collaborate with physicians and staff. This full-time position includes day shift hours with on-call requirements and is paid hourly according to experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Physician Assistant program.
• California Physician Assistant License - CA Physician Assistant Board -REQUIRED
• ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
• 1 Year Physician Assistant experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assess all patients in Acute care setting for service line population, within scope of practice.
• Develops patient data base through a comprehensive health history, physical examination and laboratory studies/diagnostic tests as indicated.
• Orders diagnostic tests and interprets data, discriminating between normal/abnormal findings. Formulates, implements and evaluates an ongoing plan of care incorporating interdisciplinary input. Manages treatment modalities.
• Counsels and supports patients and families, utilizing appropriate knowledge, training and experience. Facilitates/provides opportunity for improvement in outcomes for service line patient population.
• Performs interventions per approved standardized procedures.

Shift End Time: 5:30 PM

AWS Hours Requirement: 10/40 - 10 Hour Shift

Weekend Requirements: As Needed

Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $77.910 - $100.530 - $112.590

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
