Job summary

BSA Health System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a day shift, PRN Acute Care Physical Therapist to provide examinations, establish diagnoses, and develop plans of care for inpatients and/or outpatients. This role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will hold a current Texas PT license and a Doctorate/Masters/Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, with BLS within 14 days of hire. Acute care experience is preferred and encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Texas state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: Acute care or clinic experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document examinations and evaluations.
• Establish functional PT diagnosis, prognoses and plans of care.
• Formulate treatment goals.
• Provide physical therapy intervention to patients.
• Measure and report outcomes.
• Formulate and carry out discharge plans.
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed assigned staff or students.
• Interact and practice in collaboration with other professionals.
• Ensure compliance with the Texas Physical Therapy Practice Acts and Rules.

Education

Physical Therapy degree (Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate)
