Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Colorado Springs is seeking an acute care Physical Therapist to provide a continuum of services to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other physically related disorders. You will restore their health through mobility training, strengthening, modalities, and manual therapy.

You will document care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and apply evidence-based techniques to promote recovery, aligning with organizational mission and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Licensed PT in the state of employment or eligible via compacts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients via initial evaluation within department standards.
• Develops treatment plans with measurable goals and timelines.
• Implements therapy activities per plan of care to meet goals.
• Documents patient care activities and progress per standards and payer requirements.
• Reassesses plans and makes disposition recommendations as needed.
• Communicates with patients, families, and team while maintaining confidentiality.
