Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Current licensure to practice physical therapy in Massachusetts.
• Strong oral and written communication with patients and healthcare providers.
• Excellent organization and time management to manage patient caseload independently.
• Attention to detail for documentation and care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate referred patients for age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms using tests and history.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans with patient/family and physician detailing goals and duration.
• Administer therapeutic techniques and monitor patient response, adjusting as needed.
• Coordinate care with patient, family, physicians, staff, and facilities for equipment and discharge planning.
• Adapt communication to patient population (hearing/vision/cognitive).
• Document patient care accurately and timely in medical records and for billing.
• Assist in orientation and supervision of PT assistants, aides, students, and volunteers.
• Maintain professional knowledge through CE and literature review.
• Participate in department meetings and quality improvement projects.
