Job summary
Hartford HealthCare is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist (PT) to join our inpatient team at MidState Medical Center in Meriden, Connecticut. The PT will administer prescribed treatments, evaluate patients’ functions, and devise treatment strategies. Responsibilities include performing evaluations, establishing goals, and delivering care while coordinating with other providers. Qualifications include a degree in Physical Therapy, a valid CT license, and preferably some acute care experience. New graduates with clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Valid State of CT Physical Therapy license required.
Acute Care experience preferred but open to new graduates.
Strong patient evaluation and therapeutic application skills.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough examination and evaluation of patient’s level of function.
Establish measurable goals with the patient/family.
Implement and deliver patient care using clinical decision making.
Provide patient and caregiver education regarding treatment.
Participate in patient transition and discharge planning.
Delegate patient care tasks and supervise support staff.
