Hospital for Special Care is seeking a Physical Therapist for per diem coverage in New Britain, CT. The role requires graduation from an accredited PT program and current CT licensure, with a valid driver’s license. CPR certification and APTA membership are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program, with minimum Baccalaureate, Masters, or Doctorate degree per Physical Therapy Practice Act.
• Current Connecticut licensure.
• Valid driver's license.
• Preferred: CPR certification.
• Preferred: Member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Preferred: MHS or Doctorate in Physical Therapy

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation, planning, implementation, and documentation of a goal‑oriented physical therapy program.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team and educates staff, patients, and families as necessary.
• Supervises and directs the physical therapy assistant, rehabilitation aide, volunteers, and affiliate students.
• Documents all patient and professional interactions to maintain continuity of care and meet standards.
