Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking an Acute Care Physical Therapist to help patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence after illness, injury, or surgery. You will work with physicians and the care team to create personalized therapy plans focused on meaningful goals and outcomes.

In this role you’ll educate patients and families, monitor progress, document outcomes, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure cohesive care and smooth transitions during recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Current Florida PT license or valid compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Your role will include:

• Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team

• Educating patients and families on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence

• Leading by example—mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare's values of excellence, compassion, and integrity

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Florida or hold a compact PT license
• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
