Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens following proper patient identification and collection protocols.
• Communicate the services being performed and what is needed from the patient; use professional terminology.
• Train new team members and provide feedback as needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy cart and stock room; dispose of PHI and waste properly.
• Assist in pre-analytic processing such as centrifuging or aliquoting samples as needed.
• Answer department phones and manage emails and communication boards.
