Job summary

Kindred Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and related specimen collection duties in an acute care setting. You will ensure accurate specimen handling and documentation, while communicating procedures to patients.

Responsibilities include labeling, logging, and assisting with clerical lab tasks to support daily operations. An HS diploma and formal phlebotomy training are required, with current BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent.
• Formal phlebotomy training as required by state.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture and skin puncture per orders and regulations.
• Explain collection procedures to patients and provide information to reduce anxiety.
• Label and record test tubes, logs, and paperwork; maintain documentation.
• Prepare venipuncture trays, maintain work areas, and assist in clerical lab tasks.
