Job summary

Central Oregon Pediatric Associates (COPA) invites a board-certified or eligible Pediatric or Emergency Medicine physician to join our Northwest Crossing clinic in Bend. The Acute Care Pediatrician provides timely evaluation and management of acute illness and injury for birth through adolescence, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team.

This full-time role includes rotating evening, weekend, and holiday coverage, no primary care panel, and leadership in quality improvement,

Qualifications

• Graduate of US medical school with pediatric or emergency medicine training and board eligibility/certification.
• Unrestricted Oregon medical license by start date and DEA registration.
• Experience in pediatric acute/urgent care preferred; bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely evaluation and management of acute illness and injury for children from birth through adolescence.
• Perform pediatric acute care procedures such as laceration repair, splinting, and foreign body removal.
• Stabilize and coordinate transfer for seriously ill or injured children when needed.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans and order diagnostic studies.
• Collaborate with behavioral health, care coordinators, and other team members.
• Lead educational updates and contribute to clinical guidelines and quality improvement.
