Job summary

Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of aRegistered Nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient condition, and report information to the care team.

Responsibilities include following care plans, performing routine treatments, assisting with mobility, and ensuring a safe, clean environment. CPR certification is required within 90 days and prior CNA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful CNA program completion preferred.
• EMT/MA will be considered.
• GUH training program completion required.

Responsibilities

• Implements patient plans of care under the RN.
• Provides direct bedside patient care.
• Performs routine sterile and non-sterile treatments.
• Participates in patient/family teaching.
• Records information in medical records or systems.
• Maintains a safe and orderly environment.
• Contributes to unit objectives and quality improvements.
• Relieves Unit Secretary as needed.
