Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to coordinate and deliver therapy services for patients across age groups, from infants to geriatrics. You will implement individualized treatment programs and work within the rehabilitation team to support patient goals.

You will evaluate patients, gather data from multiple sources, and document results, progress, and plans while coordinating with physicians, nurses, and family.

Qualifications

• Active license in the state of practice is required.
• OT licensure is required to practice.
• Upon hire licensure verification will occur.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers occupational therapy services to individual patients and groups.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment programs.
• Evaluates patients using records, interviews, observations and team input.
• Prepares evaluation results, treatment plans and progress notes.
• Communicates with patients and care teams about status and needs.
• Participates in program development and staff education.
