Job summary

Avera Orthopedic Hospital-Sioux Falls is seeking an Occupational Therapist (PRN) to coordinate and deliver therapy services for diverse patient groups, from infants to geriatrics, within established department goals.

Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, evaluating patients, documenting results, and collaborating with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing teams to support recovery and mobility for our patients seeking compassionate, quality care at Sioux Falls.

Qualifications

• Active OT license in the state of practice.
• Ability to work the hours specified and communicate effectively.
• 1-3 years clinical patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and develops individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Gathers data from records, interviews, observations and team members.
• Delivers direct therapy services in various settings and updates intervention goals as needed.
• Plans therapy coordinated with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans.
• Prepares documentation such as evaluations, plans, progress notes, and reports.
• Communicates patient status with family, physician and care team.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to support patient progress.
• Participates in program development and professional growth.
