The role involves educating patients and families, coordinating discharge planning, and supervising aides to ensure compliant, high-quality care. Bachelor's degree required; OTR credential and BLS needed within specified timelines.

Qualificações

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire or transfer date, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• OTR credential from Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners obtained within 6 months of hire date or transfer date.

Responsabilidades

• Assesses patients' ability to perform independent living skills and designs care plans.
• Implements treatment plans, documents progress, and adjusts as needed.
• Educates patients and families about deficits and discharge planning, including adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Oversees care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians.
