Ascension, located at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX, seeks a Physical Therapist for Acute Care Rehabilitation. The role is PRN with shifts 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, emphasizing mobility assessments and coordinated discharge planning with the care team.

The candidate will deliver targeted therapy to rebuild strength, support independence, and ensure safe transitions, while guiding assistants and students in safety and quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• PT credentialed from the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient mobility upon admission to design personalized care plans that encourage early movement and steady recovery.
• Deliver targeted therapeutic care to help patients rebuild strength, regain independence and prepare for safe discharge.
• Partner with physicians, nurses and care teams to align on goals and ensure smooth care transitions.
• Guide therapy assistants, students and support staff to uphold high safety standards and deliver quality care.
