Job summary

Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix (BUMCP) is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment within a level 1 trauma center and other specialized units. The role focuses on delivering individualized OT treatment under supervision, ensuring safety, and collaborating with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate has an accredited OTA program background, an active state license, BLS

Qualifications

• Graduated from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the AOTA.
• Current OTA license in the state of practice and BLS certification.
• Must possess Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire and maintain it during employment.

Responsibilities

• Administers occupational therapy treatment according to the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Documents treatment per department standards and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates patient progress to the supervising OT, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team.
• Participates in discharge planning and supports department process improvements.
