ChristianaCare in Newark, Delaware, is seeking an Acute Care Operations Manager to support our Hospitalists in the Acute Care Service Line. This role oversees clinician workforce management, provider scheduling, and multi-site practice operations to ensure efficient, high-quality care delivery.

The ideal candidate will drive staffing strategy, locum management, onboarding, and process improvements while partnering with service line leadership to advance caregiver engagement and patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, medical technology, business, or healthcare management/administration is required or preferred.
• Minimum of three years of leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides operational leadership and administrative oversight for the Acute Care Service Line, supporting the daily operations of a complex, multi-site healthcare environment.
• This role partners closely with service line leadership and clinicians to ensure the delivery of high‑quality, efficient patient care.
• Responsible for supervising administrative staff, resolving operational challenges, driving accountability, and fostering an environment that supports caregiver engagement and performance.
• Serves as a key resource for frontline problem‑solving and operational excellence, with oversight supporting approximately 75 to 200 provider FTEs depending on service line needs.

ChristianaCare is hiring an Acute Care Operations Manager to support our Hospitalists in the Acute Care Service Line. This experienced healthcare operations leader would oversee clinician workforce management, provider scheduling, and practice operations across a multi-site acute care environment.

This role is responsible for driving operational excellence through strategic staffing, locum management, provider onboarding, process improvement, and team leadership. The successful candidate will combine strong business acumen, healthcare operations expertise, and collaborative leadership skills to support organizational goals, enhance provider and caregiver experiences, and ensure seamless care delivery across the health system.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Position Qualifications

• Experience driving operational improvements and process optimization (Lean preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Annual Compensation Range

Annual Compensation Range $75,088.00 - $120,140.80
