Job summary

Penn Medicine's Lancaster General Hospital seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment and discharge planning for a Level I Trauma Center. You will manage a medically complex caseload, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and aim to maximize independence and safe transitions of care in a fast-paced acute setting.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree and PA licensure issued by the State Board of Occupational Therapy.
• OT licensure in Pennsylvania is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the patient's history and measurements using objective tests.
• Interprets findings with patient, family and treatment team.
• Develops goals and plans, may include intervention strategies within physician prescriptions.
• Supervises OT assistants and aides in treatment procedures.
• Coordinates treatment plan with patient and family in meetings and conferences.
• Implements plans and monitors use of equipment with safety precautions.
• Monitors response to intervention and modifies as directed by physician.
• Maintains documentation of evaluation, treatment, and plan in patient records.
• Complies with standards, policies, scheduling, billing and emergency procedures.
