Job summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health seeks a full-time BC/BE Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon to join the only accredited Level I Trauma Center in Lancaster County. The team includes eight hospital-employed surgeons and Advanced Practice Providers ensuring 24/7 coverage for the county.

We work closely with Penn Medicine Lancaster General’s Neurosurgical Trauma team and two large orthopedic groups. Our surgeons have the opportunity to be involved in resident education with our rotating residents

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine (Allopathic/Osteopathic).
• Completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency.
• Completion of a Trauma/Surgical Critical Care fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Possess or able to obtain an unrestricted PA Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma and emergency general surgery care as part of a Level I center.
• Educate residents and participate in resident education programs.
• Collaborate with Neurosurgical Trauma and orthopedic teams for patient care.
• Maintain 24/7 coverage alongside the OR team and Advanced Practice Providers.
