Job summary

Emory Healthcare invites applications for a PRN/Registry Occupational Therapist at the Decatur, GA campus. The role provides OT evaluations, treatments and education to seriously ill patients within an interdisciplinary team. Candidates should have a Georgia OT license, NBCOT certification, and prefer 1 year of OT experience.

BLS is required. Coverage includes 3-5 weekdays with at least one weekend shift per month. PRN rate is $60.50 per hour with shift differential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from AOTA accredited program.
• Current licensure in Georgia for Occupational Therapy.
• NBCOT certification required.
• One year of OT experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive evaluations and testing, OT treatments, and education to patients as per individualized plans.
• Supervises support staff and students; contributes to in-service training for staff development.
• Participates in quality assurance activities and ensures adherence to patient care standards.
• Guides and orients staff and students; supports efficient operations.
• Communicates with patient care team, patient, families and others involved in care.
• Assesses complex patient needs and plans accordingly; adapts treatment plans as needed.
• Instructs patients and families on pertinent care aspects; ensures measurable goals.
• Plans, develops and implements results-oriented treatment plans with measurable outcomes.
• Collaborates with care team and community resources for post-discharge follow-up; provides consultation as needed.
