Job summary
The Fargo VA Health Care System is seeking an Acute Care Nursing Assistant to provide direct hands-on support to Veterans with complex medical needs on fast-paced inpatient units. Qualifications
- Six (6) months of general experience.
- OR - One year of education above high school with courses related to nursing care.
- English language proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, transfers, ambulation, and individualized care for acutely and chronically ill patients.
- Observe and report changes in condition and respond to deviations.
- Perform delegated nursing procedures including oral suctioning, catheter care, and vital signs measurement.
- Transport patients for tests and procedures and provide safe oxygen management.
