Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Fargo, ND seeks an Acute Care Nursing Assistant to provide direct, hands-on support to Veterans with complex medical needs on fast-paced inpatient units.

You will assist with daily care, monitor clinical changes, perform delegated procedures, transport patients, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. Rotating day/night shifts incl. weekends/holidays; telework not available. Competitive federal pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant certification or completion of a nursing assistant training program required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to Veterans with complex medical needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living, transfers, ambulation, and individualized care.
• Observe and report changes in condition; perform delegated nursing procedures and monitor patient safety.
• Obtain and record vital signs, oxygen saturation, I&O, and report abnormalities; transport patients for tests and procedures.
