Job summary

Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required; English proficiency in speaking and writing.
- GS-3/GS-4/GS-5 progression based on experience or education in nursing care.
- Completion of grandfathering provisions as applicable to VA employees.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting.
- Assist with mobility: turning, repositioning, ambulation, transfers.
- Measure and record vital signs; report changes promptly.
- Maintain clean, safe environment and observe patient changes.
- Document care and observations per VA requirements.
- Serve as mentor to lower-graded Nursing Assistants; assist with training.
