Job summary

The Fargo VA Health Care System is seeking an Acute Care Nursing Assistant to provide direct, hands-on care to Veterans with complex medical needs on fast-paced inpatient units. You will assist with daily activities, monitor clinical changes, perform delegated procedures, transport patients, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment within a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants pending education/certification may be referred but cannot be hired until requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of general experience or education above high school, or completion of a NA training program.
• Ability to provide patient/resident care and support the nurse care plan.
• Ability to observe and report changes, and communicate effectively with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care to Veterans on inpatient units.
• Monitor clinical changes and respond to patient needs.
• Perform delegated procedures and assist with treatments as directed by licensed staff.
• Transport patients safely within the facility and maintain a safe environment.
