Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Nurse Resident for the Acute Care unit. You will administer bedside patient care under a preceptor in an inpatient setting, with a focus on acute care treatment and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or RN program completion.
• Licensed RN in Florida or valid NLC multistate license.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC required for certain areas, NRP required for NICU.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administers bedside patient care in hospital/inpatient setting under preceptor/leader/charge nurse.
• Assesses patient needs and develops plans of care, evaluating progress toward outcomes.
• Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
• Serves as a role model and supports unit/department goals.
• Documents patient care per required and regulatory standards.
