Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital is seeking a Nurse Resident for Acute Care in St. Petersburg, FL. The role operates on-site with a 3 12-hour schedule, and supports residents through a formal Nurse Residency Program lasting 12 months.

The program emphasizes supervised bedside care, preceptorship, and structured training to transition into independent practice for nurses with less than one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and Registered Nurse licensure.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain areas.
• Less than one year of nursing experience ( Residency target ).

Responsibilities

• Administers bedside patient care under supervision.
• Develops and revises individualized plans of care.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Documents care meeting regulatory standards.
• Participates in residency training and education activities.

Education

Nursing school graduate

Licensed RN in Florida or NLC multistate license

BLS/Healthcare Provider certification

ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC required for certain areas
