Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, seeks a Nurse Resident for Acute Care on the Neuro Med/Surg floor, the area's Level IV Epilepsy Center.

The program is a 12-month ANCC-accredited residency designed for RNs with under one year of experience. The Nurse Residency provides structured training, preceptorship, monthly classes, and simulation to transition you into independent practice, preparing you to care for patients with brain-related conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s,

Formación

• Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Must hold Florida RN license or compact multistate RN license.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.

Responsabilidades

• Administers bedside patient care under supervision of a preceptor, leader, and/or charge nurse.
• Assesses patients’ needs and develops individualized plans of care.
• Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with team members and patients.
• Functions as an advocate for patients and their families.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care appropriate to patients' ages.
• Serves as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, and/or nurse clinician.
• Communicates and collaborates with medical staff to manage the unit.
• Acts as a role model and supports department goals and strategies.
• Performs documentation of care meeting regulatory standards.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.
